Your Online Brand

There is no doubt that the best way to increase your business visibility is online. The web has become like a war site, where everyone is fighting to be seen by potential customers. This is why is so important to have a constant habit of giving exposure to your company, and keep a fresh idea of “what is that message you want to convey.”
There are some basic steps to create a solid online brand.

Create a blog, and write on it at least twice a week.

If you do not have any presence on the Internet as of now, the easiest way to show up on most search engines is to have a good amount of content on the web. A blog will give you the ability to post your ideas with little effort.
If your potential customer sees that your company is knowledgeable, and it’s not afraid to give some FREE information on the website, that would definitely score you some points.

Comment of significant Blogs

Writing a positive comment on a famous blog, is almost as valuable as writing your own blog. People on the net will see your interest on the subject matter, and most search engines will also pick up your company’s name as viewed by many people who regularly visits these blogs.

Web design is not like it used to be

The Internet is a fairly new technology, let’s say about 10 years.  Do you remember how yahoo, or ebay looked back then? If you don’t check them out on www.archive.org, and you will see how different they look compared to today. The Internet is becoming a bigger part of our everyday lives, we interact with the web on a regular basis, for work, information, education, leisure, and fun (and some people take some of these to extremes, but I don’t even want to go there).

If the Internet has evolved so much, why can’t some web designers and business owners grow with it. I get amazed at some websites out there. It’s like going back to 1996. Not only has the design and content change but also functionality. The websites of today have to interact with its visitors, integrate forms, flash content, and sometimes when it’s useful audio and video.  

When it comes to web design, developers must create it with the customer in mind, what might be obvious for you, is not for a 68 year old grandma. Put yourself on their shoes and create innovative websites, use web2.0 content, make your visitors interact with your website.

There are some fantastic designers doing great jobs today, I hope that as this new digital world grows, its cities (websites) also grow with it, to make it a better online world.
